Rules for working in an occupied building

  • An accessible route stays open at all times. If the only accessible entrance is affected, a temporary route and signs go up first.
  • Saw cutting, core drilling and demolition happen outside your business hours.
  • Plastic barriers with zipper doors around interior work, and HEPA vacuums for cleanup.
  • Work areas are cleared, swept and locked at the end of every shift.
  • Planned shutoffs of water or power are confirmed with you in writing at least 48 hours ahead.
